This mini-documentary and photography series and video explores the economic gap in the community of Uptown, Chicago as the community is building up new investment properties, it is neglecting those who rely on low income housing. I decided to a a metaphorical approach when shooting this series, using the location of laundromats to create a dialog and to contextualize the reality of community.
